Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and EVALENTO BİLİŞİM HİZMETLERİ EĞİTİM VE DANIŞMANLIK LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, İzmir, Türkiye ("we"), which makes Qatip, when you use Qatip (the Mac, Windows, phone and web apps, the recorder connection and the cloud service behind them). By using Qatip you accept these terms. How your data is handled is described on the Privacy page.

In short

• Your recordings, transcripts and reports are yours. We process them only to provide the service to you.
• Before you record a meeting, it is your responsibility to tell the people in it and, where needed, get their consent.
• Summaries and transcripts written by AI can be wrong; check them before important decisions.
• Paid plans renew automatically each period until you cancel. You cancel where you bought: in your account for a plan bought on the web, or in the App Store or Google Play.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to use Qatip.
• You sign in with a code sent to your email, with your Apple or Google account, or with your company's sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for what happens in it.
• You can close your account any time in Settings › Delete account. Deleting it permanently deletes your recordings, text and voice prints.

Recording and consent

In some places, recording a conversation requires the consent of everyone in it. Before you record a meeting, it is your responsibility to tell the participants, get their consent where needed, and follow the law where you are.

Voice prints are biometric data. Get a person's consent before you have Qatip remember their voice.

Your content

• The audio you record, transcripts, notes, reports and files you upload are yours.
• To provide the service, you allow us to store this content, transcribe it, summarize it and send it where you choose (email, calendar, connected apps). This permission is limited to that purpose.
• We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not let others do so.
• If you share a meeting in a team folder or by link, you decide who can see it.

Rules

You may not use Qatip to:

• Record or monitor people unlawfully, without their knowledge or consent.
• Store or share content that is illegal, harmful or infringes the rights of others.
• Disrupt the service, get around its limits, access other accounts, or reverse engineer Qatip.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.

AI output

Transcripts, summaries, decisions, action items, translations and answers to your questions are produced by AI. They can be incomplete, wrong or attributed to the wrong person. Do not rely on them alone for legal, medical, financial or similarly important decisions; check the recording itself when it matters.

Plans and payment

• Besides the Free plan there are paid Pro and Team plans. Each plan's limits and price are shown in the app before you buy.
• Paid plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions. They renew automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Payment and cancellation go through where you bought the subscription and follow its rules. Plans bought on the web are sold by Creem (creem.io), our merchant of record, which charges your card, adds sales tax or VAT where it applies and issues the invoice; you manage or cancel them from your account. Plans bought in the iPhone or Android app go through the App Store or Google Play.
• Refunds for web purchases follow our Refund policy; refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases follow that store's policy.
• If you cancel, your plan continues until the end of the period you paid for.
• We may change prices. A change does not affect your current period; the new price applies from your next renewal, with notice as the store requires.
• A meeting over your plan's limits is not deleted; it is processed automatically once your plan allows it (when you upgrade or a new month starts).

The service

• We keep improving Qatip and may add, change or remove features.
• We work to keep the service running without interruption or errors, but cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, outages or problems at the companies we rely on may interrupt it from time to time.
• You may want to keep your own copy of important recordings; you can export reports and transcripts from the app.

Limitation of liability

We provide the service "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or data, or decisions made on the basis of AI output. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Qatip in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Qatip from the App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply. Responsibility under these terms lies with us, not with Apple or Google. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. For an important change we will tell you in advance in the app or by email. If you keep using Qatip after the change, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The courts and enforcement offices of İzmir have jurisdiction, without affecting consumers' right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, or the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
